Liverpool scouts have been monitoring the progress of Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan. The 22-year-old currently plays in Belgium for Club Brugge as their first choice shot stopper.
Ryan has recently taken the number 1 jersey for his national side and Anfield scouts have been impressed with his recent performances. The keeper is wanted as a long term successor to Simon Mignolet.
The goalkeeper currently has a contract until 2018 and has also been monitored by Spanish side Villarreal as well as Serie A giants AC Milan.
Ryan is available for a fee of around 3.5 million euros.
