Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista from Villareal for an undisclosed fee.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had revealed that the club were close to sealing a deal for the talented centre-back following Joel Campbell's temporary move to Villareal as part of the transfer agreement.
It is believed that the North London side paid a fee in the region of £15m for the 24-year-old, who was granted a work permit earlier this week.
Paulista revealed his delight at joining a top club in the Premier League.
"A while ago I had a really huge desire to play in the Premier League, so since that point I put it in my head that I really wanted to do it. had a talk with my family and I told them that it was my dream to play in the Premier League. Getting here to such a big club is so gratifying."Â He told the club's official website.
Paulista is yet to represent the Brazilian senior side.
