West Ham have contacted Everton regarding a loan move for French veteran defender Sylvain Distin. The late interest in Distin indicates that Winston Reid could be set for a move elsewhere on transfer deadline day.
The partnership of John Stones and Phil Jagielka has kept Distin out of the first team and the centre back now looks set for a move to another club.
The Hammers have contacted Everton manager Roberto Martinez regarding Distin's availability very late into transfer deadline day and the Frenchman is reportedly on his way to London to discuss personal terms with the Upton Park outfit.
