Toby Alderweireld wants So'ton stay

Belgian international Toby Alderweireld has revealed of his desire to sign a permanent deal with Southampton at the end of the season.

Alderweireld, who can play at both central defence and holding midfield, joined the Saints on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid last summer.

The former Ajax man has been on the radar of several top clubs in Europe in recent weeks, with the South Coast outfit yet to hold talks with Atleti over a permanent transfer.

However, Alderweireld has now admitted that he would like to sign a long-term deal with the Premier League high-flyers in the summer.
