The 24-year-old is expected to exit Camp Nou once his contract expires in the summer, as veteran defender Dani Alves reportedly closes on a new deal.

The Reds are likely to spend to have a small transfer budget this summer, and The Mail claims that the club will try to lure the talented full-back to Anfield on a Bosman fee transfer.

Liverpool are also interested in Manchester City's James Milner, and Burnley's Danny Ings.
