Real Madrid have reportedly contacted Manchester United regarding the possibility of signing star striker Robin van Persie at the end of the season.
The Netherlands international has struggled to maintain his form at United this season, mainly due to a series of injuries.
According to Goal.com, manager Carlo Ancelotti could go into the market for a new striker, with Javier Hernandez unlikely to seal a permanent transfer to Bernabeu.
Van Persie is considered as a viable option to fill the void as the Red Devils value him at just £12m.
