Wigan after Halmosi

27 December 2007 - 19:09

Plymouth winger Peter Halmosi could be set for a move to Premiership side Wigan in January. The Hungarian international has been outstanding for Argyle, and is contracted to the club until 2010. It is believed that Wigan may have to pay up to £2.5 million to sign the player.

  • "Wigan are a big-name club, it would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself," Halmosi told Nemzeti Sport.

"The team is not in a very good position in the Premier League at the moment but it is not a problem for me because I think a couple of won games and the team will be in a better position.

"But of course I am a player of Plymouth where I am appreciated and I like to play here as well."
