Sunderland have agreed a transfer fee to sign up Dynamo Kiev midfielder Jeremain Lens, according to reports.
Manager Dick Advocaat has been provided with a £40m transfer kitty this summer, as he seeks to bolster his squad in all departments.
The Black Cats failed with an initial bid for the 27-year-old, but have now had a fresh offer of £9m accepted by the Ukrainian outfit.
Lens previously plyed his trade under Advocaat during their time at AZ Alkmaar.
