Manchester United are expected to come up with a fresh offer for Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos in the upcoming week.
The Red Devils failed with a £28m bid for the Spain international over the past month, and it had been speculated that the Mancunian giants could seek to bring in the central defender n a straight swap with star keeper David de Gea moving the other way.
However, Los Blancos have opted against such an offer, and are willing to wait for De Gea until next summer.
Reports in Spain now cite that United will make an improved bid of around £40m to prise way the talented defender from Real this summer.
Los Blancos currently value Ramos at £60m.
