Abbiati wants Atletico stay

Christian Abbiati has admitted that he would like to extend his stay at Atletico Madrid to a long-term deal. The player is currently on loan from Milan for the season in Spain, but because the goalkeeper is so happy he would like to make the deal a permanent one.

  • "My adaptation has been faster than I expected," he told the club's official webpage. "I’m very happy at this club because everyone has really supported me.



    "The reception I’ve been given has been really good, not only by my teammates, but also by the fans, which is crucial for me. I have a peculiar nature, very relaxed and shy, and feeling loved and supported is important for me.



    "I really like playing in the Spanish League and I hope to continue learning."



    “Everything is easier now because I understand and speak Spanish better," he continued. "I’ve found myself in a a very united dressing room, where everyeone’s very committed to the team.



    "I get on well with all of them and we’re almost always joking around with each other."
