Valencia striker Paco Alcacer has admitted that he would love to see star defender Nicolas Otamendi rebuff a summer move and stay at the Mestalla for the new season.
The Argentine defender has been tipped to join the Red Devils, so long as they are willing to match Los Che's £35m asking price.
However, Alcacer is desperate to see his Valencia teammate remain at the club for the upcoming campaign.
"Nico is a major player and I would love him to stay," he told AS. "He is a key player for Valencia. If I said I did not want to stay, I'd be lying."
Otamendi's existing deal at Los Che expires in 2019.
