Manchester United are ready to make a move for a new central defender during the summer transfer window.

Widespread reports now cite that United will look to offer Jonny Evans as makeweight in a deal to sign Everton star John Stones.
Everton have been reluctant to accept anything less than £34m for the England international, but the prospect of signing Jonny Evans in exchange could tempt them into accepting a lesser sum for the deal.
