Chelsea will not give up on their pursuit of Everton defender John Stones, according to talkSPORT.
The England international has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks, with Blues manager Jose Mourinho keen on securing the player's services.
It had been earlier reported that the Blues may look elsewhere having seen two bids of £20m and £26m knocked back by Everton for the central defender.
However, talkSPORT claims that the Premier League holders remain confident of signing up the former Barnsley man, whom they regard as the long-term heir to John Terry.
Stones joined Everton from Barnsley for just £3m in 2013.
