Man Utd bid for Hakan Calhanoglu

Manchester United are understood to have made a last-minute bid for Turkey international Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports.

The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is believed to be busy on transfer deadline day having already finalized a deal to sign Monaco's Anthony Martial.

Turkish Media outlet Beyaz Gazete claims that United have made a tempting offer of around £26m to prise away striker Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen.

Calhanoglu is known for his excellent free-kick technique and could provide the adequate boost required in United's title charge.
