Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is ready to reward David de Gea with his first domestic appearance against Liverpool this weekend.
The Spain international had been tipped to make his way to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
However, his move fell through at the 11th hour as Real failed to submit the required documents before the Spanish transfer deadline.
According to The Telegraph, the 24-year-old has regained his focus and is in the right shape of mind to feature for the Red Devils.
It is added that De Gea will play for Spain against Macedonia in their Euro 2016 qualifier tonight, before making his first league appearance for United in Saturday's derby with Liverpool.
