Liverpool could make a January swoop for out-of-favour Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
The Spain international failed to earn a move away from Old Trafford over the summer, and currently finds himself behind the likes of David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Sam Johnstone in the pecking order.
According to The Sun, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants to sign up an experienced goalkeeper as back-up to Simon Mignolet, and considers the former Barca man as the ideal fit.
Valdes joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in January.
