Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has confirmed that the club will be without captain Wayne Rooney and striker Anthony Martial for this weekend's trip to Watford.
Martial is expected to miss United's next league fixture after he left on crutches during France's international friendly against England on Tuesday.
Van Gaal has now added that skipper Rooney has been omitted from the Match Day squad through illness.
Midfielder Michael Carrick is also an absentee for United after being stretchered off with an ankle problem during England's triumph over France earlier this week.
James Wilson is likely to get the nod to play as the lone striker at Vicarage Road.
