Italian giants Roma are apparently front-runners in the race to sign unsettled Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.
The England international has fallen below the likes of John Terry and Kurt Zouma for the central defensive role this season.
Recent speculation has suggested that the experienced defender may seek a fresh challenge away from the Blues this month as he is concerned with his place with England for Euro 2016.
According to Evening Standard, the Serie A outfit may make a late move for the 30-year-old as they have sufficient funds to spend following the £11.5m sale of Gervinho to Hebei China Fortune.
Cahill has made just 12 appearances for Chelsea this season.
