Genoa will only consider selling highly-rated goalkeeper Mattia Perin if they receive a "big offer", according to the player's agent.

  • The 23-year-old Italian has been impressive this season, with several Premier League clubs said to be holding an interest in his signature. It has been reported that Manchester United have scouted Perin on numerous occasions this season, as they prepare for the possibility that David De Gea will leave in the summer.

Speaking to Radio CRC, Perin's agent Matteo Roggi said: “If Genoa sell him they won’t give him away, he’ll only leave for a big offer.”

“I hope that Perin can play for a big club: he’s had 120 appearances in Serie A and is the youngest goalkeeper to have had so much experience.”

Roggi also spoke of his client's ambition of representing Italy at this summer's European Championships: “I hope that Mattia can be called up to the national team, he’ll definitely give the Coach a hard time in making his choices.

“He has always been around the national team apart from when he’s suffered from injuries. He must continue to work hard and train like he’s always done.”
