Chelsea will reportedly begin negotiations with Roma over a summer move for Greek defender Kostas Manolas. The Blues are expected to move in for a new centre-back this summer with Kurt Zouma set to miss the initial part of the 2016/17 campaign.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Incoming boss Antonio Conte has asked the Blues hierarchy to look into a deal for Manolas, who is deemed as the ideal replacement for outbound star John Terry.
Terry has been tipped to leave the West London giants once his contract expires at the end of the season.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the league standings with 44 points.
