Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has requested the club\'s hierarchy to pursue a deal for in-form Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international has caught the radar of the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United through his scintillating showing in the Bundesliga.
According to French source Le 10 Sport, Guardiola is eager to have a top-class striker in his ranks next season with City over reliant on the services of Argentine forward Sergio Aguero.
It is added that the Spaniard has urged the board to consider a move for Aubameyang, whose future has been the topic of discussion in recent months.
Dortmund are expected to accept bids in the region of £50m for their prized asset this summer.
