Leicester ready Hazard bid

Leicester City are planning an offer for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Thorgan Hazard. The Foxes are expected to bolster their squad in the summer and the former Chelsea starlet is the top name on their shortlist.

  • Thorgan joined the Blues alongside his brother Eden in 2012, with a view to playing a regular role in the first-team.

However, he struggled to make a similar impression to his sibling and this forced him to pursue temporary moves to Zulte Waregem and Gladbach in his next three seasons.

In 2015, Hazard sealed his permanent switch to Gladbach in a £6.25m deal, and has since then made excellent progress in Bundesliga.

Het Laatste Nieuws suggests that the Foxes are eager to land the 23-year-old, who can play in attacking midfield or on the wings.

It is added that the Premier League champions will step up their interest in the coming weeks with a view to securing his services in the next transfer window.

Thorgan has notched three goals and five assists in 27 league appearances for Gladbach this term.
