Man Utd to offload Daley Blind

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly approved the sale of Netherlands international Daley Blind. The 26-year-old is likely to accompany Spanish midfielder Juan Mata out of Old Trafford.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • It had been expected that the 'Special One' would look to cash in on some of the club's players in an attempt to bring fresh blood to his squad.

According to Sky Sports News, United are set to see the departures of Blind and Mata after Mourinho deemed them surplus to requirements.

Mata failed to make the cut under the 53-year-old at former club Chelsea, as he did not have the workrate to fit into the system.

On the other hand, Blind lacks the physical aspect to play in a central defensive partnership under Mourinho.

The pairing will be shown the exit door once the club bring in suitable replacements.
