England international John Stones may have to stick with Everton next season after the club revealed their desire to keep hold of his services. The 21-year-old had been the subject of multiple bids from Chelsea last year, but the Toffees's hierarchy were not keen on his sale.
Recent speculation suggested the Toffees could give up on their main defender this summer with interest high from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
However, The Mirror claims that the club have had no change of mind, and will rather look to bolster their squad with fresh recruits ahead of the 2016/17 season.
The Toffees are likely to spend big over the transfer window with incoming boss Ronald Koeman set to be trusted with a £100m kitty.
