The Englishman failed to make an impact this season for Arsenal and was unable to keep his place in the starting 11 meaning he was excluded from Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 squad.

Livepool are looking to secure the pacey 27-year-old on a four-year deal as Jurgen Klopp sees him as the perfect versatile attacking player.
