Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will reportedly seek to lure free-agent Victor Valdes to the Etihad over the summer. The Spaniard was released from arch-rivals Manchester United last week.
Valdes spent the second half of last season on loan with Standard Liege after he fell out-of-favour under former Red Devils head coach Louis van Gaal.
A report from The Guardian says Pep is willing to offer his fellow Spaniard a second chance given how he performed under his management at Barcelona.
It is thought that Valdes would play back-up to Joe Hart with League Cup hero Willy Caballero likely to be shown the exit door.
The 34-year-old has made just 10 competitive appearances since he left Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
