Sky Sports News says the Blues had tabled a sum of around &pound32m for the youngster with new boss Antonio Conte eager to freshen up his midfield over the summer.

However, the bid was swiftly rebuffed with Los Che wanting to recoup at least &pound42m for the 22-year-old, whose former club Benfica are owed 25 percent of any future sale.
