Manchester United are keeping close contact with Wolfsburg for midfielder Julian Draxler amid claims that they could miss out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Red Devils have so far failed to land Mkhitaryan with Borussia Dortmund reluctant to accept any price for the star asset.
According to The People, Draxler could be the subject of a transfer bid from United, should they give up on their chase for the Armenian international.
Draxler, 22, has been long on the radar of top Premier League clubs, and Jose Mourinho feels the player has all the ingredients to ply his trade at Old Trafford.
Wolfsburg currently value their asset in excess of £35m.
