Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently undergoing a medical at Manchester United's Carrington training ground, as revealed on Twitter by the club's official photographer Craig Norwood.
The 34-year-old Swedish striker took to social media yesterday to announce that he would be signing for United at the expiration of his Paris Saint Germain contract.
The player, along with his agent Mino Raiola, was expected in Manchester today to complete the formalities of his switch, and now Norwood has confirmed his arrival.
Despite his advancing years, the former Ajax, AC Milan and FC Barcelona striker enjoyed the most productive season of his career during 2015-16, netting more than 50 goals in all competition to help PSG maintain their dominance of the French domestic game.
It is thought that Ibrahimovic has turned down offers from the Chinese Super League and Major League Soccer to join United.
And the Swede will be reunited with José Mourinho at Old Trafford, after the pair worked together for one season at Inter Milan eight years ago.
Once his medical has been completed, Ibrahimovic will put pen to paper on a one year contract worth a reported £220,000 per week.
An official announcement of the signing could be made later this evening, while United are also hoping to wrap up a deal for Borussia Dortmund's 27-year-old attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is reportedly flying to Manchester at time of writing.
