The Bavarian giants are looking to add the France international to their ranks despite signing Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.

According to The Express, the Gunners could be bracing themselves for a tough period in the transfer window with Carlo Ancelotti's side keen on signing their star defender.

Koscielny has been in prime form for club and country over the past year, and this has previously attracted interest from arch-rivals Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has stalled on talks over a fresh contract, but the Gunners remain confident of negotiating an extension in time.

Since moving from Lorient in 2010, Koscielny has amassed 248 appearances in all competitions for the North London outfit.
