Liverpool have made a formal approach for Newcastle United attacker Moussa Sissoko. The Reds have already recruited Georginio Wijnaldum from the Magpies this summer.
Sissoko has highlighted his desire to leave the Tyneside outfit after they were relegated to the Championship.
According to Le 10 Sport, the Reds have held initial talks with the player's entourage and will come up with an offer for his services in the coming days.
Sissoko impressed for France at this summer's European championships, and this has urged the Magpies to place a £35m price tag on his head.
He was previously a transfer target for Borussia Dortmund, before the arrival of Andre Schurrle from Wolfsburg ended their pursuit.
The Frenchman has appeared in 133 games for Newcastle United since his move from Toulouse in 2013.Â
