Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon this summer. The Gunners made an improved offer for the striker after their initial £30m bid was rejected.

  • The France international has been the prime target for the Gunners in recent weeks with manager Arsene Wenger seeking to bolster his striking options ahead of the new campaign.

French outlet Le 10 Sport says the North London outfit had come up with an improved bid for the 25-year-old just days after their £30m approach was turned down.

Les Gones are also reported to have accepted the sum with the player desperate for a move to the Emirates in the transfer window.

The Frenchman has netted over 20 goals in each of his last three seasons with Lyon.

Lacazette would become the Gunners' second major signing of the summer following the arrival of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
