Mahrez to seal Gunners switch

Riyad Mahrez agrees Arsenal move

03 August 2016 - 16:52

Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has apparently agreed on a switch to the Emirates this summer.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The Algerian was a key player for the Foxes last term as they went on to lift an unprecedented league title.

Reports earlier suggested that the 25-year-old could follow fellow teammate Jamie Vardy and snub a move to North London.

However, according to Algerian outlet Le Buteur, the attacker has decided to join the Gunners after manager Arsene Wenger held crunch talks with his representatives.

Mahrez notched 17 goals and 11 assists for the East Midlands side as they won the league by a ten-point margin. He was also named as the PFA Player of the Year.

The Algerian international has three years left on his contract, which was inked in August 2015.
