Arsenal substitute Calum Chambers has been told he is free to join Premier League side Middlesbrough on loan. The versatile full back could spend this campaign on loan with Aitor Karanka's side.
Chambers has featured heavily so far this season in Arsenal's squad but the expected arrival of Shkodran Mustafi is likely to mean that the former Southampton defender will struggle for first team football.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also wants to give backup right back Carl Jenkinson a regular berth in Arsenal's squad this season instead of Chambers.
Middlesbrough will agree a deal for the defender in the coming few days.
