Arsenal's Bellerin open to Man City switch

04 October 2016 - 13:15

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin could be interesting in a move to Premier League rivals Manchester City in the future, according to reports.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The Times is reporting that Spanish right back Hector Bellerin would be open to the possibility of leaving Arsenal to join Premier League rivals Manchester City, and would even prefer to move to the Eithad over the chance to rejoin FC Barcelona.

It is believed that Bellerin would love to work under compatriot Pep Guardiola, and would even prize working with the Catalan tactician at City over a move to Barca where he was formerly a part of the youth system.

Bellerin has been outstanding since making the break through into the Gunners’ first team, and has drawn widespread acclaim for his performances.

Last season Bellerin was named in the PFA team of the season, and he has received call ups to the Spain national team.

Blessed with blistering pace and a keen knack for finding well placed team mates with his crosses and cut backs from wide areas, Bellerin has tremendous potential as a modern attacking full back.

It is believed that Guardiola would like to improve upon the full back options currently at his disposal, with the feeling being that Pablo Zabaleta and former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna do not properly fit in with his system, and Bellerin would be his first choice transfer target in that position.
