Batshuayi wants Chelsea stay

14 October 2016 - 06:03

Michy Batshuayi has no intention of leaving Chelsea in the winter transfer window. The Belgian is prepared to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge despite being limited of first-team action this season.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The 22-year-old joined the Blues from Marseille in the summer, and has since featured primarily in the EFL Cup.

With five substitute appearances in the league so far, there had been suggestions that he could leave the Blues in the New Year.

But, according to The Sun, the striker is willing to stay put at the West London giants in order to prove his credentials to Antonio Conte.

Conte has preferred Diego Costa for the lone role upfront this season, but Batshuayi could get his chance in the future, should the Italian stick with his preferred 3-5-2 formation.

Batshuayi has netted three goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
