Southampton are looking at the prospect of loaning Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge for the second half of the campaign. The England international is also a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Sturridge, 27, has struggled to cement himself a regular role at Anfield this season with manager Jurgen Klopp more in favour of playing Roberto Firmino in an advanced role due to his higher fitness levels.
According to The Express, the Saints are willing to offer a temporary deal to the talented marksman, who is frustrated with his situation at Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp has been reluctant to offer a league start to the former Chelsea man this term, and it is believed that the Reds would rather prefer seeing the player leave on a permanent basis in the New Year.
The Birmingham-born hitman has seen his value come down over the years, with injuries denting his chances of influencing play on the field. He is currently valued at &pound26m by Liverpool.
