Manchester United is likely to accept an improved of £13m from French side Lyon for Memphis Depay.
Though a lot was expected of Depay following his move to Old Trafford 18 months back, the Dutch international has failed to impress during his time in the Premier League.
Once considered to be the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo’s throne at United, Depay has flattered to deceive since his move from PSV Eindhoven; and it must be said that, his own attitude hasn’t helped him one bit.
Jose Mourinho has been looking to offload Depay for a while now and has finally found suitors in the form of Lyon, which implies that Depay should leave the club before the end of the January transfer window.
Finally, though a move to France offers Depay a chance to revive his career, he ought to imbibe a bit of humility, so as to make the most of this opportunity.
