Former Manchester City head coach Manuel Pellegrini is seeking to lure midfield duo David Silva and Samir Nasri to the Chinese Super League.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Chilean is currently in charge of Hebei China Fortune, who are prepared to spend big to compete with the best in the Chinese's first division.

According to The Sun, the 63-year-old has set his sights on recruiting two of his former players, David Silva and Samir Nasri for a combined sum of £80m.

Silva, currently valued at £50m, has previously highlighted that he has no intention of joining a fresh club in the future. Meanwhile, Nasri, currently on a season-long loan with Sevilla, could be tempted by the riches in the Far East.

Both Silva and Nasri have contracts running until the end of the 2018/19 season, but the latter could make way in the summer having previously been critical of Pep Guardiola's methods.
