Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to have Andreas Christensen back in west London next season following his two-year spell with Borussia Monchengladbach.

  • The Denmark international has been a huge hit with the Bundesliga outfit in recent seasons, and they are said to be keen on securing a permanent deal.

According to The Mirror, the Blues coach is set to snub advances from the German club, who are willing to cough up as much as £13m for the central defender.

Conte is expecting to move for a new central defender this summer, but this will not have an influence on Christensen's future at Stamford Bridge.

The likes of Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma are there to provide backup in the heart of the defence, but Christensen is likely to jump ahead in the pecking order on his arrival.

Christensen, still 20, has made just three senior appearances for Chelsea since earning his debut during the 2014-15 season. He is already a regular with his national team having earned eight caps to date.
