Ahead of Monday's crucial FA Cup quarter final clash between Chelsea and Manchester United, the Red Devils are facing a severe lack of attacking options, with all of their four recognised strikers set to be unavailable for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unavailable for selection, as he sits out the first of his three game ban, which comes as a result of his violent conduct charge for his involvement in an incident with Tyrone Mings in United's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Youngsters Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will both miss the game due to illness, meaning that the Manchester club will be unable to rely on the pace that the pair possess, which in games such as the one on Monday, can be a fantastic counter attacking tool.
That would leave Wayne Rooney as the only striker left to lead the line for United. Rooney has been the subject of numerous transfer rumours in recent months, and it is still unknown whether he will still be at Old Trafford at the start of next season. It was revealed on Sunday that Wayne Rooney picked up an injury in training after an incident with Phil Jones, meaning that he has also been ruled out of the Chelsea match.
Manchester United see the FA Cup as a fantastic opportunity to add to their EFL Cup victory, but a game that sees them coming up against an in form Chelsea side, will now be even harder because of their lack of attacking options.
