Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure would be open to the idea of joining rivals Manchester United in the summer, agent Dimitri Seluk has claimed.

  • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago

  • The former Ivory Coast international has earned nearly 300 appearances for the Citizens during his seven-year stay which could come to an end this summer.

The 33-year-old is currently into the final months of his contract at the Etihad, and signs are he could be parting way with the club during the off-season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Seluk admits that his client will be keen on a Premier League stay even if it is to take the chance at rivals United.

When asked on whether Toure would favour a move to Old Trafford, Seluk said: "Why not? Jose Mourinho is a very good coach. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was together with Yaya in Barcelona.

"I understand this is two clubs who are rivals but for me, for example, this is not a problem from Yaya or from me."

Toure had earned a regular role under Pep Guardiola this season ever since he apologized for his representative's accusation over his mistreatment at the Etihad.
