Zaha to be offered new deal to deter top four

Crystal Palace are set to offer winger Wilfried Zaha a new contract in the summer to prevent him from moving to another Premier League club, making him the club's highest paid player in the process.

  • Zaha has been in great form recently, becoming a key player for the team in their recent improvement, which includes a goal and an assist in their shock victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

The pacy attacking threat, who recently changed allegiance from England to Ivory Coast, has always shown potential, although a move to Manchester United never quite worked out, seeing him return to the Eagles a short time after.

Now, Tottenham, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are all said to be interested in signing Zaha in the summer, believing that he is now ready to perform for one of the Premier League's top clubs.

Crystal Palace are aware of this interest, and according to The Guardian, the club are set to offer him a new deal worth £110,000 per week. That is some step up for the twenty four year old, who's current deal sees him earn £35,000 a week.
