Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will reportedly knock back advances from rivals Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

  • The Argentina international has earned a legendary status at the Citizens over the years after having amassed 167 goals in exactly 250 outings for the club.

    Recent speculation suggested that Jose Mourinho could seek to lure the striker to Old Trafford in the summer amid the uncertainty over his future under City boss Pep Guardiola.

    However, a report from The Mail now claims that the 28-year-old will snub the chance of joining the cross-city rivals as it would spoil his reputation gained on the blue side of Manchester.

    Aguero had started off the season as the leading striker for the Citizens before opted to utilise the services of a young Gabriel Jesus in the second half of the campaign.

    The former Atleti man therein had to wait for his start until Gabriel got injured, but the pair have since featured together in a couple of games for City.

    Aguero, who is currently nursing a minor injury, may have played his last Citizens game with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain among the top candidates to acquire his services this summer.
