Kelechi Iheanacho set for Hoffenheim switch?

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho could reportedly move to German club Hoffenheim on a season-long loan next season.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 20-year-old has just five starts over the course of the season after falling behind the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel in the pecking order.

Iheanacho made his breakthrough under Manuel Pellegrini last term where he amassed eight goals in 26 outings, but he has failed to make a similar impact with Pep Guardiola, who still admires the player's attitude.

According to The Sun, the youngster could be off to the Bundesliga in the summer with Hoffenheim keen to offer him the chance to impress.

The German outfit have already secured a Champions League qualification spot, and this would put in the front seat to sign Iheanacho on loan ahead of other European clubs.

Iheanacho, who joined the Citizens' academy back in 2014, is also said to prefer a switch to Hoffenheim this summer as he hopes to rediscover his old form, which earned him instant recognition in the Premier League.
