Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini will be seeking a fresh job in management next term after having decided to end a year-long sabbatical from the game.
West Ham United have endured a tough season in their new London Stadium, and Slaven Bilic is under threat of losing his job despite the recent backing from the club's hierarchy.
The Hammers finished a reasonable seventh in the league standings last term, but this season has been average as they find themselves 21 points behind last year's tally as they head into the final game of the campaign.
Bilic has received sound criticism from the club's faithful in recent weeks, and his future remains unsure after Mancini hinted that he could make his managerial return with a foreign club.
"My sabbatical year will end when I find a team. I hope there is an opportunity abroad because it is more fun, you learn a new culture,” he is quoted as saying on the Express.
Mancini is understood to have an ambition of managing a London-based club, and West Ham appear to be the ideal destination for Mancini unless Arsenal decide to end their long-term association with Arsene Wenger.
