Bournemouth, Watford vie for Stoke City goalkeeper

Bournemouth and Watford have reportedly been put on alert amid Lee Grant desire to push for a Stoke City exit in the summer.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The 34-year-old joined the Potters from Derby County on an initial loan deal last summer before the move was made permanent for £1.3m during the winter transfer window.

Grant was named the club's Player of the Year following his standout performances over the course of the season, but he is still livid at being dropped after the injury return of Jack Butland.

Potters boss Mark Hughes recently cited that he will do his best to keep hold of the experienced shot-stopper, but this has not changed his mindset ahead of this summer's transfer window, The Sun reports.

Grant had not featured for a Premier League club prior to his move to the Bet365 Stadium, and it now appears that he could make a switch to a league rival with both Bournemouth and Watford keen on his signature.

Artur Boruc(37) and Heurelho Gomes(36) are approaching the final years of their careers at Bournemouth and Watford respectively, and this has urged the clubs to look into a younger replacement.
