Inter target Southampton key man

Dusan Tadic has been linked with a move to Serie A

Inter target Southampton key man

04 June 2017 - 07:28

Manchester United's continued pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic could result in the Italian giants making a move for Southampton's Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • Tadic signed for Southampton in 2015 and has become one of their most important players during that time. It is believed that Inter Milan have sent scouts to monitor his performances in recent games and that they like what they have seen.

Their own midfielder, Perisic, has been a target for Jose Mourinho's Manchester United for some time now. They want around £40 million for the Croatian winger, and The Sun reports that a deal is likely to be agreed soon.

These rumours linking players away from Southampton will leave their supporters fearing the worst again. It has become a regular occurrence at St Mary's that the club sells their best players over the summer, before then facing a huge rebuilding operation before the new season. Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk has also been linked with a move away from the club, with several teams preparing bids.

Alongside Inter Milan, Juventus are also keen on taking Tadic to Serie A. It is believed that West Ham United are monitoring the situation too, in the hope that he wants to remain in the Premier League.
