Manchester City could face a tough task of luring Tottenham defender Kyle Walker after they raised their initial asking price of the full-back.
The England international had been strongly tipped to join the Citizens this summer with Pep Guardiola keen to sign an experienced right-back following the exits of Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta.
Walker was initially available for a fee of around £42m, but according to The Mirror, Spurs have increased his value by half owing to his impressive performances over the past few years.
Mauricio Pochettino feels justified that the club deserve at least £60m for the full-back, who is a regular with the national side.
The Citizens are hoping to improve nearly every department of their squad, but the defence remains the main focus with Aleksandar Kolarov being the only natural full-back in the squad.
Walker was a regularly in the substitutes' bench during the final stages of the campaign with Pochettino utilising the services of Kieran Trippier, who has, in turn, earned his maiden call-up to the Three Lions squad.
