Bayern Munich are prepared to sanction a record salary package for Alexis Sanchez as they seek to take advantage of his uncertain future at Arsenal.
The Chile international appears to be leaning towards a move to a Champions League club this summer with Manchester City and Chelsea also in the hunt for his signature.
According to The Mirror, the Bavarian giants are ready to make Sanchez the highest-earner at the Allianz Arena surpassing the £300,000 a week wages earned by Robert Lewandowski.
Sanchez, who is on international duty with Chile, has recently hinted that his representative will take care of any transfer discussions after he stalled on a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger has previously suggested that he would risk Sanchez for the final year of his contract, but it is yet to be seen whether the club would follow his guidance with a £40m offer on the cards.
Sanchez became the first Arsenal player to score 30 goals in a season since Robin van Persie as the club once again lifted the FA Cup title.
